Automotive Sales Consultant
Job Description
Manitoulin Chrysler is seeking an enthusiastic and results-driven Automotive Sales Consultant to sell new and pre-owned vehicles. The successful candidate must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to learn product details. They should be driven by performance-based incentives and have a passion for customer service excellence, which will lead to strong relationships with both customers and staff alike.
Job Type
Permanent; Full-Time
Hours
Monday-Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with availability to work weekends and after hours
Responsibilities
- Professionally assist customers by understanding their needs and interests, and matching them to the most appropriate vehicle
- Understanding the characteristics, capabilities, and features of all vehicles sold at Manitoulin Chrysler, and providing the potential customer with detailed information, including different competitive models
- Taking customers on test drives and demonstrating vehicle features
- Building a rapport with potential customers to improve the possibility of a sale in the future
- Maintaining a customer database and communicating with them
- Assisting customers with all relevant paperwork required for a successful sale to be processed
- Collaborating with team members to reach sales targets
- Enhancing dealership reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests
- Working with the Finance Department to develop sales agreements
Qualifications
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment that produces results
- Able to stay organized and manage time effectively when working alone or collaboratively with a team
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Honest, enthusiastic, displays a positive attitude, and is professional
Experience
- Valid Driver’s License
- Valid OMVIC License (or willing to obtain a license)
- 2+ years’ experience in Automotive Sales or Equivalent Sales Experience is considered an asset
